Aerospace Account Manager

CEO Inc. has been engaged in a search for an Account Manager at one of our top clients.  The company is a Global Tier 1/OEM aerospace company in the greater Savannah area.  The organization is a best in class supplier of composite components and parts for the growing commercial aerospace industry though out the world.  The company is a fantastic collection of a diverse group of aerospace professionals that have continued to expand and grow the North American product and service offering.  There is a lot of room here for complete autonomy and very little restrictions in terms of how the role is executed and performed; the team is very relationship focused and is highly results-oriented.  The position has the potential to expand rapidly in scope within the group giving this person a solid career path in the organization for years to come as they continue the current trajectory.  The company is offering market compensation, a full suite of company benefits and re-location assistance to the area.

The Role

This role will work with the Sales, Marketing and the Business Development group to help solidify and manage relationships with the large customer base in North America.  This role will also be integral to future growth and expansion as this person will provide continuous contract and customer support with the company’s largest and most demanding customers.  In addition, this role will assist in driving profit and loss on programs, evaluating new programs and setting expectations with both potential customers and the internal program managers.  There will be some travel in the role. 

To be considered for this role, you must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in a related field – Business, Marketing, etc and have at least 5 years of hands-on account management experience with large, international OEM’s in the aerospace market.  A Master’s degree in Business [MBA] or related Graduate work is preferred but not required.  You must have proven negotiating skills and a demonstrated track record of creating win-win resolutions of conflict and disagreements among customers; coupled with excellent customer service attitudes and influencing skills.  Further, experience with developing sales contracts with legal departments and clearly and concisely communicating these requirements to customers and program managers is an essential skill that will produce success.  And lastly, this position is highly autonomous and needs someone with an independent and entrepreneurial spirit that can drive results with little support and direction.  There will be approximately 20% travel expected in the position.
