Engineering Project Manager, Advanced Composite Programs
CEO Inc's Advanced Composite Recruiting Practice has been engaged by a world leading, Global aerospace part supplier to evaluate and secure an Engineering Project Manager for a game-changing program for the company. The company is capitalized well over $1.5 Million and has a long history of both stability and respect in the aerospace industry. The Engineering Project Manager will manage new product development by leading cross-functional as well as engineering teams. Manage all project related activities from concept to design transfer into Manufacturing. Ensure cross-company communication to facilitate project completion on time and within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and project efficiencies.
The Project Manager will also manage novel projects by leading cross-functional as well as engineering teams in a matrix structure and work with Product Management to define top level customer and market requirements. This person will be in a position to lead the new program and product group as it grows, offering excellent executive visibility and growth opportunity.
To be considered for this role, you must have an extensive working knowledge of advanced composites production operations, automated & conventional material placement technology, applicable tooling/fixtures conceptualization and design, tooling fabrication, machining operations, autoclave / oven processes and quality control procedures.
A Bachelors of Science in Engineering or related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials) is required and at least 5 years of experience in new product development and project management with a strong preference in advanced composite materials (preferably closed molding processes) within a lean, aerospace manufacturing environment.
