Overview:

CEO Inc.’s Advanced Composite Group has been engaged to actively recruit for a Plant Manager for one of our client companies.  The company is an emerging and innovative leader in the composite carbon fiber world.  They are continuing to invest in new products, new clients and new processes.

The Role

The Plant/Operations Manager will be solely responsible for oversight of all manufacturing, manufacturing costs, scheduling, delivery of product and optimizing production throughout the facility.  The Plant Manager will report remotely to the CEO of this $150M Global organization and have complete responsibility for all production within the plant.  The individual in this role will manage a team of production staff, interact with technical staff to seek intelligent inputs for superior productivity, and handle productions procedures, staff schedules, inventory, planning and budget. The plant runs 24/5 in a flat, matrixed environment.

The company is offering a market competitive salary, excellent benefits and a variable incentive program based on performance in the role.  The company is not offering a re-location package for this role and, because of the nature of the product, must hire a US Citizen in the role.

Job Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in Production, Operations or Plant Leadership in Manufacturing, managing a team of production staff of at least 25 individuals [combined direct and indirect reports]
  • Required experience in plant leadership of fabricated products that are subject to strict government regulation [i.e pharmaceuticals, aerospace, medical devices, food, etc…]
  • Accustomed to operating with complete autonomy and with little direction; need to understand how to run a 24/5 plant without frequent, direct organizational support.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree is required
