Title: Plant Manager (Masterbatch Color)

Location: Texas

Company Summary: Our client is  a custom compounder of masterbatch color concentrates and additives. Founded over 30 years ago through continuous expansion of sales offices, and distribution the company covers over 40 countries in North America, Europe, South America, Asia & the Middle East with 10 major production sites globally. This position is a part of their continued growth.

Position Description: The Plant Manager will report to the NA President. This position is responsible for providing managerial leadership and direction to the plant manufacturing facility, maximizing capital, human resource utilization in attaining production objectives, acceptable quality within established cost parameters, and meeting customer requirements. The Plant Manager will drive drive continuous improvement through the use of lean principles and change management initiatives. 

Education/Skills: A Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university is preferred or sufficient experience in a leadership role. The candidate should have 8 to 10 years experience in an plastics operation with the preference being color concentrate compounding. They should be able to develop a strong safety and problem solving culture. A proven track record in continuous improvement (Lean Initiatives), excellent employee relation skills and the ability to develop people is required.
