Plant Manager, Advanced Composites
Our client is a $3+ Billion emerging leader in manufacturing composite materials and structures located in North Carolina. The organization is continuing to invest in new processes and materials to build out a significant composite structures facility that will be competing with the top Tier 1/2 fabricators in the world. The company has a unique value proposition to drive into the OEM space covering key composite markets such as Aerospace, Automotive, Oil/Gas, Wind Power, Healthcare and others that are using carbon components within their products. They will be building some of the most complex and innovative composite structures in the marketplace and have made “innovation” their most valuable contribution to the composite world. The Plant Manager will be a key to running day-to-day production, managing inventory, scheduling workforce resources and workflow.
The Plant Manager will provide direction to production personnel and workflow set-up for all new and existing products. They will also design, implement and maintain LEAN principles throughout the facility, including Kanban, 5S and other commonly used LEAN principles. They will also be accountable for production scheduling, safety, creating and writing best operating practices. The company is continuing to invest in the best and brightest advanced composite talent in the industry and will be executing their long-term strategic plan, creating a ton of advancement opportunities.

- Bachelors Degree Strongly Preferred, but may consider alternatives
- Must have at least 7 years of experience in a composite manufacturing environment; in either manufacturing engineering or production management/supervision.
- Manager Hands-on experience with both in and out of autoclave processes and techniques such as Resin Transfer Molding, Filament Winding, Hand Lay-up and others is required.
- Experience using PFMEA tools to drive efficiency and executing LEAN projects is also required.
This role will be located in the growing technical center of North Carolina. The role will be in the metro-Charlotte, NC market; one of the fastest growing cities and economies in the Southeast US.
