CEO Inc’s Advanced Composite Group is actively looking for a Process Engineering Manager in the Plastic and Composite Industry. The company manufactures and delivers highly engineered finished parts for use in the manufacture of products in the automotive, agricultural, truck, transportation and marine industries. This role will lead a small team of engineers in the plant and report direct to the Site Manager. The Engineering Manager will be accountable for all continuous improvements, process improvements, root cause analysis of issues on the production floor and use LEAN Manufacturing and problem-solving tools to remediate all production issues.
The role will be highly instrumental in both current products and growing the facilities capabilities in production, tooling and assembly. This role will interact frequently with the end OEM client when issues are detected and help prevent future production problems.
To be considered for this role, you must have a 4-year Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline that may include Mechanical, Industrial or other related engineering background. You must have at least 15 years of hands-on experience supporting the process engineering functions within a Tier 1 supplier in the automotive or transportation industry. The experience needs to be in an environment with raw material conversion, fabrication and assembly of components in a polymer and tooling environment. This could be plastics, composites, closed molding or similar environment.
You need to have strong familiarity with LEAN manufacturing and processes within a plant facility; experience trouble shooting issues, and experience with TS16949 QMS environment. Excellent communication, management and leadership skills are needed to be successful in this role.
The role is located in the Spartanburg, South Carolina area. The Greenville/ Spartanburg area of “upstate” South Carolina is one of the fastest growing areas in the Southeast US.
