JOB TITLE: Production Supervisor

The Production Supervisor is responsible for day-to-day production operations, ensuring adequate staffing and meeting all quality, efficiency, on-time delivery goals, and overall care for the facility.

  • Manages all Production activities, under the direction of the Production Manager, ensuring compliance with established and approved policies and procedures, and regulations.

  • Supervises day-to-day, hands-on production activities, on a rotating shift.

  • Provides leadership for employees through effective communication, coaching, training, and development.

  • Provides technical guidance for production and facilities leadership teams and operators, including troubleshooting.

  • Coordinates the successful implementation of lean manufacturing throughout operations.

  • Responsible for implementing an employee involvement work environment to include team meetings, decision-making, consensus building, process improvement, achievement of team goals, collaboration, good communication practices, and conflict resolution techniques.

  • Leads by example by promoting good manufacturing principles.

  • Helps to maintain weekly production schedule.

  • Effectively uses labor, materials, and support services to meet quality standards, production schedules and profit plans.


  • Minimum 5 years manufacturing management experience.

  • Experience with Blown or Cast Film is a MUST!

  • Process manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma experience preferred.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field preferred.

  • Experience with materials and inventory management, production scheduling, and preventive maintenance.

  • A demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Excellent project management skills.

  • Proficient with computer systems and the ability to use programs including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, modeling, graphics and presentation software.
