The Role

The Sr. Composite Engineer will be responsible for leading projects and teams in the evaluation and implementation of continuous improvement production support, new product development, design and process changes as it relates to the composite products.  This would include design of new products, composite lay-ups, machining and selection of the fabrication materials and processes involved in the product.    This role reports to the Director of Engineering of a small engineering team and will have their hands involved in all aspects of product development and manufacture.  The Sr. Composite Engineer will be a key expert in both materials and processes for both internal and external customers and part of a small family that genuinely cares for each other.

The Requirements:

In order to qualify for this role, you must have a 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or related Engineering discipline and at least 3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience WITH composite materials.  You must also be proficient with CAD/CAM, CNC and using Solidworks for designing of parts, fixtures and tooling used on the manufacturing floor.  This role is an “all-around” composite engineer and must have some experience in a variety of engineering disciplines – ranging from design, development, tooling, process, material specs and manufacturing –  inside a small to mid-size composite shop using a variety of resins and reinforcements.

The Location:
