Title: Sr. Materials Engineer – Advanced Composites


CEO Inc’s Advanced Composite practice is actively engaged in a search for a Senior Materials Engineer at a large, multi-billion dollar Tier 1 fabricator in the Midwest US.  The company is a well-established and long-time OEM supplier of both commercial and defense composite structures.  The company has performed at record levels the last several years and recently reorganized to ensure optimal performance across all divisions.  After winning several large international work packages, the company is looking for a senior-level materials engineer to work directly with the end-client.  The roles will be high visibility within the company and will have excellent professional advancement opportunities over the next several years. The Role:

The Senior Materials Engineer will be primarily responsible for acting as a liaison with the end-client and ensuring all materials and specifications match by using Materials Review Board [MRB] standards, specifications and best practices.  This person will be an active member of the Materials Review Board and prepare work instructions, root cause analysis of non-conformance and track/resolve issues for the client.  The Senior Materials Engineer will lead production support in ensuring all client specifications are met or exceeded by remaining accountable during the product development, quoting, first article and change stages of specific aerospace programs.

The Requirements:

In order to qualify for this role you must have at least 6 years of experience in aerospace composites, including previous experience as a member of a Materials Review Board [MRB].  A Bachelor’s degree is required in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical, Materials Science, Aerospace or related Bachelor’s degree.  You must also have a excellent communication skills, a thorough knowledge of multiple engineering applications as they relate to aerospace quality composite components and manufacturing procedures.
