Position: NA VP Beauty & Personal Care Products

Location: NY Metro or Chicago/Milwaukee

The primary mission of the Vice President Sales is to drive profitable sales growth. Secondary mission is to create and successfully implement the NA Beauty + Home regional sales strategy and individual customer strategies that are in alignment with the NA Beauty + Home Strategy and the Global Account Strategies.

Job Responsibilties

  • Develop and manage customer relationships and lead Top to Top relationships.(Fully leverage the diamond model)
  • Develop and execute regional sales plan and objectives. Prepare and achieve annual sales budget.
  • Identify and secure regional resources needed to implement strategic and tactical plans.
  • Collaborate with VP Global Accounts (and GAM organization) to successfully drive sales growth in GAM accounts.
  • Implement the pricing practices that support the pricing strategy developed in collaboration with
    Global Market Development organization.
  • Lead customer contract negotiation.
  • Identify and communicate customer needs, market opportunities and competitive threats, changes in buyer

behavior and develop recommended actions to drive growth in the region. (including products, services, and execution)

  • Identify, recommend and support local products including stock and custom.
  • Champion customer needs, participate and contribute to the business plan of product launches and capacity increases
  • Coordinate local marketing activities with Regional Marketing
  • Contribute to Beauty + Home NA Management Team (across all aspects – beyond representing sales/customer needs)
  • Sales leadership in inspiring, motivating, moving people to action, personnel development, training, people selection. 
  • Professional development of managers/succession planning
  • Collaborate with the other Regional sales leaders to share best practices and customer/market intelligence.

Required Qualifications


  • College or University Degree
  • Prefer MBA or equivalent


  • Experience in managing geographically extended sales organization.
  • Experience in working directly with all client types (multinational, regional, local)
  • Experience in working with operations and develop the right balance between the different needs
  • Experience working cross culturally / cross regions


  • Demonstrated ability to achieve results.
  • Strategic thinker able to develop creative solutions to address customer needs and challenges.
  • Knowledge about the Beauty and Personal Care market                                    
  • Proven leadership capabilities                                             
  • Fluency in English plus a second language such as French, German, Italian or Spanish
  • Demonstrate a general proficiency in finance and operations
  • Working knowledge of local legal requirements                                      
  • Able to implement customer value management philosophy                                        
  • Long term international sales management experience

Other Requirements                                     

  • Frequent travel
  • Willing to travel extensively
