Western US Regional Sales Manager, Composite Materials

CEO Inc’s Advanced Composite Group is actively looking for a Regional Sales Manager to cover the Western US Territory in the Composite Industry.  The company has seen impressive year over year growth and is interested in continuing to drive new business development efforts throughout the next several years.  The company manufactures and delivers unique composite materials for use in the manufacture of parts and components in the transportation, wind energy, oil/gas, marine and other industrial uses.  The Regional Sales Manager will be an individual contributor responsible for both “hunting” for new potential clients and applications as well as maintaining and strengthening current client portfolios.  The company itself is undergoing a great deal of change and re-positioning itself in the industry; creating a unique opportunity to be a key catalyst for the change.  The company offers a stable financial history, strong growth track record over the last 5 years and a global vision to be a top provider of materials in the growing composite industry. 

The Role

The Regional Sales Manager will be primarily accountable for delivering new leads in the industry, introducing, demonstrating and promoting products into key market segments mentioned above.  In addition, this role will manage a current Western US portfolio that stretches from Vancouver and into Mexico.  They will be responsible for evaluating and growing the Western marketplace, reporting results to the VP of National Sales, actively working with both distributors and direct clients to determine the right material specifications and applications for the intended materials. 

This role will be an active travel role, centered around California, but stretching beyond.    The travel is primarily within the North American market to clients, trade shows, distributors and is estimated at about 50%. 

This role will offer salary, plus a bonus and other incentives that ensure market level compensation.  

The Requirements:

In order to qualify for this role you must have a 4-Year Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.  You must also have at least 5 years of hands-on sales experience in composite materials, which may include resins, adhesives, fabrics, fibers, pre-pregs, cores, etc…    The personality type that will be most successful is a self-motivated and self-sufficient business development person that is great at building strong relationships and has a demonstrated track record of territory product growth in the Western US. A valid passport is required and the ability to speak Spanish would be an advantage [not required]

The Location:

This role works from a home office and will travel a minimum of 50% of the time.  A home base in or around the Southern or Northern California would be ideal; but anywhere along the Pacific Coast would be also fine with easy access to an international airport.
